So Long Sweet Summer (part 1)

we are back from vacation, and with no time to waste, jumped right back into the daily grind. C-Boy started 1st Grade this morning…much to the dismay of mommy and Bella-Bug, who miss him during the day when he’s not with us!

i do not get excited for school to start back up. i don’t like Canaan being gone all day, and although i know school is a growing and stretching time for him (and me), and that we are beyond blessed to go to the most amazing school, i wish he could stay home, (and think that one day maybe he will!)

but it helps that he was SO excited this year! he woke up this morning with a big smile and told me that he didn’t think he could eat breakfast because he was too excited! so we dropped him off, and when we came back home, Bella walked in the door and said, “Mommy, this is so sad that Bubba’s not with us!” you spoke my heart, little one!

a wise woman once told me (thanks Cory) that when you send your kids off to school, it feels like your heart is walking around outside of its chest. i can’t imagine dropping him off at college!!

anyway…i have some vacation photos to show you, cause afterall, when i have the beach in my backyard for a week, i can’t help but to go a little photo shoot crazy!! but i’ll first show you what it really looks like to do photo shoots with my 6 year old and 3 year old….

after some tantrums, and lots of bribing, i did get a few good updates.

as soon as i find some time (where does it all go, anyway?) i’ll show you some faves.
