Hi Ho…Hi Ho…its off to Disney we go!

ever have those stretches of time where everything hits all at once?? i’m in the middle of one of those stretches!!! thanks for being patient with my lack of blogging this past week…i’ve got tons to share!!! but before i get really behind in all i want to post about, i have to go back to last week and Canaan’s birthday celebration at Disney!

back at the beginning of the year, Jake and I participated in Disney’s “Give a Day, Get a Day” program. see here for more info. because of our participation, we each received a free ticket to Disney. then we ended up getting two more free tickets for the kids, due to a mistake in some misinformation that i was given by a Disney employee, which ended up being quite a blessing!! since Disney is so amazing, they didn’t even blink an eye before offering us 2 comp kids tickets to make it right! so basically, our entire family went to Disney for free last week. and as one more benefit of being a Florida resident, we payed a total of $80.00 and got 3 extra days for each of us at any of the 4 Disney theme parks!!! so, we are heading back weekend after next to enjoy 3 more days of Disney…something we’ve never done! so excited!

but we had a great great day at Disney…not too crowded, not too unbearably hot, and barely had to wait in any lines (the Fast Pass is a great invention!!)

i’ll let the following pictures tell you the story of our day at the Magic Kingdom!

celebrating 6 years of life for this little one!

the first ride we went on was Snow White’s Scary Adventure. BAD IDEA! it had no wait, and we came upon it first, so we weren’t thinking and went right on. poor bella…she was terrified!!

after the mishap on the Snow White ride, Bella was pretty much terrified to go on anything else, and had to hold Bubba’s hand for moral support! we weren’t sure she was going to recover, but after Its a Small World, she as great!

daddy will ride every roller coaster know to mankind, but is terrified of the teacups! so i braved it with the kiddos!

a glimpse into my future in 10 years….

this perfectly captures my kids:

Mickey taught Bella how to hold her dress like Minnie Mouse:
she did it the rest of the day:

stopping for some birthday love:
isn’t if funny how you go to a magical place like Disney World, and the kids could just play on the playground all day??
Daddy got attacked by some of the littlest Pirates of the Carribean:
i am so happy that i was able to capture Bella’s reactions to the performance at the Castle, cause its about the cutest thing i’ve ever seen! she is completely and utterly in awe of the princesses, with mouth wide open and eyes as big as saucers! but she covered her eyes anytime the evil fairy, Malificent, made her appearance!
this is what Bella picked out to bring home. its bigger than her (and $50.00!!) needless to say, it was NOT purchased!

the boy’s favorite ride. we got stuck for about 3 minutes in a stationary position in the middle of the ride, so we racked up our scores!!!

Disney really does have a way of making everything magical, and we enjoyed every bit of our celebration!
be back soon with wedding pictures,
