Gone Fishin’
Gone Fishin’
can i use that as an excuse for why i’ve been a little sporatic lately in blogging? it is, afterall, true!
we have been introduced to the joys of surf fishing, right here in our own backyard, and its become a much requested activity from the crazies!
weekend before last, we invited a group of friends over for a fish fry, with the hopes that we’d catch the fish first! and guess what?? that’s exactly what we did!
Canaan Boy’s very first catch ever:
but that slippery little sucker decided that he was gonna try to make a quick getaway….
what he didn’t know was that there was no way that the Hubs was gonna let C-Boy’s very first fish get away! so Jake went after him…
and was successful in catching him yet a second time!
i even got in on the action, reeling in a few myself!
we caught a few surprises as well…now we know where all those teeth we are finding are coming from! (love the boy’s face in this pic!)
the kids made a little pool for the shark, so that they could enjoy “playing” with him before we released him back into the wild.
he was less than pleased with his temporary abode, but the kids considered him quite the friend.
later on, his little pool became a jellyfish graveyard:
the bug stood watch over all the creatures:
while we reeled in a total of 33 fish…
and 5 sharks:
we fired up that fryer:
and got right to work:
and partied hard into the night!

i think this might become a regular activity around here!
so…that little writer’s block i had has passed, and i have all kinds of ideas, so check back in. problem is, i just can’t seem to find the time i need to get to this blog!
but i will try to come back again this week
