she’s in love with “the boy!”

this morning i threatened to take away all of canaan’s toys for an entire day if he peed on the bathroom floor one more time…(its not by accident, btw) not sure how i would enforce that, but the threat sounded good in the moment. now it just makes me laugh! so while he’s at school this morning, i’ve been thinking about him and how much he keeps me on my toes…so

wanna know just a few of the million trillion reasons why i love my precious boy??

here’s one: HE LOVES ME!

he snuck this in my room the other day and put this under my sheets:

two: HE’S BRILLIANTLY SMART, AND INSANELY FUNNY

before he left for school yesterday, he decided that his fish (Sushi is his name) needed some reading material for the day to keep him occupied. so here’s what he set out for Sushi to read:

three: HE FINDS JOY IN DOING THINGS THAT HELP ME

(like bringing the recycling to the garage…he’s just sweet like that)

four: HE’S JUST PLAIN ENTERTAINING

five: HE LONGS FOR HIS SISTER TO BELIEVE IN JESUS

(last sunday at church, he drew a picture of who he wanted to talk to about Jesus. he is constantly asking me to pray for bella so that she would believe Jesus. he genuinely longs for that! this says, “bella sister” “love, Bubby” with a pic of the bug)

and one more note he left on my fridge:

Canaan, not only do i love you, i am completely head over heels smitten with you, sweet boy!!! (and i’m not really gonna take away all your toys for a day, but i’d LOVE it if you didn’t purposefully pee on my floor!)

there is one more boy who lives in my house who i love too!! here’s one reason why:

HE MAKES UP SILLY GAMES FOR THE KIDDOS (like dragging them across the house on a blanket) this is what a typical night right before bed might look like in our house…
