rain or shine

i’m going to wait until i get some more guesses before revealing the silver items from yesterday’s post…but i’ll tell you this much…they ARE for the Boy’s birthday party coming up!

and as for the garage picture…the thing that is consuming all of my extra time (if that even existed anyway) between now and saturday is a Community Wide Garage Sale, which i’ve been waiting on an opportunity and piling up items for…but, and here’s the kicker…i just found out about it yesterday afternoon….yes, yesterday. don’t you just love the way things like that work???!! anyway…i’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with the amount of stuff i need to organize between now and then…

here are just a few things that i can actually get to at the moment, that i will be selling. there is much much much much more…but this is a fairly good representation of some of the type of items for sale:

i’ve been waiting with anticipation for this opportunity, and the hubs will be thrilled to clear out a large section of our garage…but also so i can make some money, because if you know us at all, you know that we don’t really have an expendable budget. and i’ve had 2 main items on my wish list (both of which i have very good reasons for…but don’t we all tell ourselves that??!!)…and the only way i might be able to purchase them is if this garage sale is successful. so…there’s a chance, that if all goes well, i could cross one (or perhaps both) of these items off my wish list!

i’m thinking at this point that i may make all of .50 cents, considering the task i have of sorting through all my stuff and pricing well, and the small amount of time i have to get organized (plus, in the meantime, a field trip, 2 nights of dinner guests, and a double header t-ball game…all of which i’m SO excited for…but which will take time!)

so pray… for a good turnout on Saturday, for lots of buyers, and to be a blessing to buyers! and for my heart to be guarded from the thought that i actually need these wish list items, but to relish in God’s provision if He so chooses to provide them!
