Spaghetti Casserole

its a lazy saturday afternoon for our fam. after a busy morning, we are all enjoying a rare moment of just sitting around the house! the crazies are playing their newly purchased Disney Princess Yahtzee Game ($1.00 at a garage sale!), which combines one of Bella’s favorite things (Princesses) with one of Canaan’s favorite things (the game of Yahtzee)…so it makes for a nice activity for the two of them!

so i’m sitting here, debating what to cook for dinner tonight, and i’d thought i’d take a few moments to share a great recipe with you, just in case you too are trying to figure out dinner plans for the night!

so i present to you:

SPAGHETTI CASSEROLE
1 lb ground beef, browned
1 1/2 jars of your fav spaghetti sauce
Mix these two together:
a handful of Parmesan Cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup cottage cheese
8 oz of cream cheese, softened
(i use all reduced fat/fat free, and can’t tell a difference!)

Mix all of these ingredients together:
(i usually add in some Italian Seasoning too)
Boil a package of Spaghetti Noodles. In my opinion, the thinner, the better….and we use Whole Wheat pasta.

Create these layers in a 9×13 dish:
Top the whole thing with a sprinkling of Parmesan Cheese (and maybe some more Italian Seasoning), and bake for 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
cut into squares and serve. it makes great leftovers too, or freeze it to use later!
now…if anyone has a great recipe i can use for tonight that takes no energy, shopping, or preparing, let me know! (j/k…i think that’s called take-out!)
